Olmsted: How to Bake Sourdough Bread w/ Pastry Chef Alex Grunert

Remember when we were all locked down at home trying to learn how to bake bread? Was that six months ago or six years ago?

Regardless of if you learned to bake during quarantine or not, here’s your chance to do it right. On Tuesday, December 1st at 7:00pm Executive Pastry Chef of Olmsted & Maison Yaki, Alex Grunert is offering an online class to teach you how to make the perfect sourdough for the holiday season.

Alex is a classically trained pastry chef who worked in Europe before moving to the United States. In New York, he worked as the Executive Pastry Chef at Bouley, followed by stints at Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare & Blue Hill at Stone Barns.

Now at Olmsted/Maison Yaki, Alex wants to bring the basics to your home by teaching you the basics online.

Kit Includes:
- Flour Starter
- A fully baked loaf of Sourdough to test the against the loaf you bake
- Honey Truffle Butter
- Jam made by Chef Alex
